IM THINKING ABOUT HAVING A HOME BUILT, WHERE DO I START?

my father as well as i have been seeking to buy the home. you cant unequivocally find anything you similar to in the area you wish to live in. my father owns land i was meditative you could have the home built. where do you start? similar to seeking during floorplans or companies which could do it.

I would start with a mortgage broker. A new construction loan can be hard to get especially now. Talk to the town your father owns land in and find out what rules they have for subdividing land.

Absolutely, my wife and I are in the process right now as well. Begin looking at companies that could build for you. Also begin looking at different lenders (that is if you are going to have to borrow $) and see who has the best product to fit you. In this economy I would definitely look for a fixed rate loan. In addition, you also want to look at getting the land, you want to build on, in your name and secure any easements that may need to be established if there isn’t road frontage to the property. A good builder can help you further and should be willing to give you better and more detailed advice. If you are building in NC then I’d be glad to recommend a builder.
