IF BUYING LAND IN A “FLOODWAY” PLAIN, HOW DO YOU BUILD A HOME ON IT?

What have been most appropriate methods? Build upon stilts similar to the beach house? What kind of assent would we need? Land is tasteful as well as poor since it is in the floodway, though wish to see about posibilities of office building upon it.

you would not get finance to build, you would be unlikely to get planning consent and nobody would be able to insure the houses making them unsellable

see what your local planning commission has on it, ? in my town you have to raise the house 8 feet off the ground
